how do I clean the mitten?

Q: Despite cleaning t in warm watter and letting ot dry, it has gone mouldy! Ick! Ive stopped using it because it is unhygienic, so is there a way to clean the mould off?

Instead, wash the mitten with hot soapy water and dry in direct sunlight to disinfect it.

I would recommend you do this every time, as it seems that perhaps your bathroom doesn't air very well to allow the mitten to fully dry, quickly after use. So it being constantly wet would have caused this to happen.
